    வாழ்க்கையில் நமக்கான மதிப்பையும் மரியாதையையும் நாமேதான் நம்முடைய அதிகாரத்தின் வழியாகச் சம்பாதிக்க வேண்டும். சுயநலம் நிறைந்த இந்த வணிக உலகில், எல்லையற்ற அன்பைப் பொழிபவர்களைப் பலரும் பலவீனமானவர்களாகவும் தங்களுக்குச் சாதகமாகப் பயன்படுத்திக் கொள்ளக் கூடியவர்களாகவுமே பார்க்கிறார்களே தவிர, அவர்களின் தூய்மையான மனதிற்கான மரியாதையை வழங்குவதில்லை. அன்பை மட்டுமே மூலதனமாகக் கொண்டு வாழுபவர்கள், அதிகாரத்தையோ அல்லது உலகியல் வெற்றிகளையோ தேடி ஓடுவதில்லை என்பதால், பொருள்சார்ந்த வெற்றிக் குறியீடுகளுடன் ஒப்பிடும்போது அவர்கள் வாழ்க்கையில் தோற்றுப்போனவர்கள் போலவே முத்திரைக் குத்தப்படுகிறார்கள். ஆனால், அந்தத் தோல்விகள் எல்லாமே அந்த அன்பான ஆன்மாக்களைச் சிதைத்துவிட்டன என்று அர்த்தமல்ல; மாறாக, சுயநலமற்ற அந்தப் பேரன்பே இந்த உலகத்தை ஏதோ ஒரு மூலையில் இன்னும் மனிதநேயத்தோடு இயங்க வைத்துக் கொண்டிருக்கிறது என்பதையும், அந்தத் தோல்விகளில்தான் அவர்களின் தூய்மையான ஆன்மா தலைநிமிர்ந்து நிற்கிறது என்பதையும் காலம் என்றைக்காவது ஒரு நாள் மெய்யாக உணர்த்தும். அதிகாரத்தின் மூலமாக மட்டுமே உண்மையான மரியாதை நிலைத்து நிற்கும்; மாறாக, அன்பின் வழியில் கிடைக்கக்கூடிய மரியாதை எப்போதுமே நிலைப்பதில்லை. திகாரத்தின் வழியில் கிடைக்கும் மரியாதை என்பது நமது அறிவைச் சார்ந்தது என்பதால், நம்மிடம் அறிவு இருக்கும் வரை அது எப்போது நம்முடனே இருக்கும் அன்பு மூலமாகக் கிடைக்கும் மரியாதை என்பது முற்றிலும் அதிர்ஷ்டத்தை மட்டுமே சார்ந்தது என்பதால், அது நிச்சயமாக நிலைத்து நிற்கும் என்று எப்போதுமே உத்தரவாதம் சொல்ல முடியாது.

In life, we must earn our own value and respect through our own power and authority. In this self-centered, commercial world, those who shower limitless love are often seen by many as weak and as easy targets to be taken advantage of, rather than being given the respect their pure hearts deserve. Because those who live with love as their only capital do not chase power or worldly success, they are often branded as failures when compared to material markers of success. However, that does not mean these loving souls are broken; rather, time will one day truly reveal that this unselfish, supreme love is the very force keeping this world functioning with humanity in some corner, and it is in those very defeats that their pure souls stand tall. True respect remains steadfast only through power and authority; conversely, the respect gained through love never lasts. Because the respect gained through authority relies on our intellect, it stays with us as long as our intellect remains, whereas the respect gained through love depends entirely on luck, and there is never any guarantee that it will last.
